Fios Fios is a fortnightly local newspaper published by Spòrsnis Ltd. Aiming to cover topics of interest to the community all articles are researched, written and produced entirely within the Galson Estate on the Isle of Lewis.


About Spòrsnis


Based in Ness, in the Isle of Lewis, Spòrsnis features a large multi-purpose hall, fitness suite and sauna, soft-play area and community learning and resource areas. It also boasts the only 10-pin bowling alley in the Western Isles.

The facility currently operates 6 days a week from 9.00am to 10.00pm.

In order to access all funding grants, especially those where we have to provide a list of at least 200 members, we have printed new forms which are available at reception. This ‘new’ membership costs £2 a year for adults, £1 for under 16’s and £5 for families. Every month we will select a member from random who will receive a free family bowling voucher.
